  • Do you have any tutorial about conecting emergency stop buttom?

We currently do not have a tutorial on setting up the emergency e-stop button, however it works very similar to a limit switch. (limit switch tutorial: https://buildyourcnc.com/PrimeronHomingandLimitSwitches.aspx)

There is 2 sides to the e-stop, first being green NO-Normally Open and secondly being red NC-Normally Closed. From these two sides you will have too choose in which manner you would like to wired the e-stop.
If you plan on smashing the button when there is a problem, (as we all do :D) we would recommend wiring it in normally open - Green side. The wiring is simple, you will only need 2 wires going from GND to the input pin, the orientation of the wires is not as important with these switches.

    Setup
    Mach 3:
You will go to config/ports&pins/inputsignals, there will be one item in that tab enable, e-stop, you will then enter the pin number and you are done.

Planet-CNC:(with our board) there is not designated pin which we would recommend wiring it directly to the power cord going to your CNC electronic power supply. Wire it in normally open and to the live/load wire.

3rd party board compatible with planet-cnc or a direct planet-cnc board, go to file/settings/general, there you will choose the output pin for your e-stop as stated on the board schematic.

"On a personal note: I have ran into 1 issue once being that they placed the colored covers on the opposite sides, which means that green is red, and red is green. I only ran into this once but I would rather share this info. as a possiblity."

  • Do you have any machine with 4th axis that mills hard materials like steel?

We currently do not have a 4th axis machine, but have a 4th axis available. We are in the process of developing a 4th axis kit, you can see the available R&D projects here(https://www.buildyourcnc.com/ResDev.aspx).

  • Does the MDF have to be 3/4" or can you use Thinner sheets?

It's best to use 3/4" sheet for the scratch build machines on this site. There needs to be room on the edge of the sheet for an intersecting hole to meet the hole for the cross dowel.

  • Do you have a CNC machine plan available for a 4'x8' machine?

All of our machines that are offered as a kit do not have a plans option. We do have a machine that is build form plans. The plans refer to the scratch build machine: http://www.buildyourcnc.com/cnckitintro.aspx and the one in the book "Build Your Own CNC Machine": http://www.buildyourcnc.com/Book.aspx

  • Do you have a wiring diagram for your breakout board and the SuperPID?

It is not necessary for a wiring diagram for the breakout board to the SuperPID controller since you are only going to connect two wires from the breakout board output terminals of your choosing to the SuperPID controller. The only thing remaining is to configure Mach3 so that the spindle control section serves as the SuperPID controller.

To setup this configuration in Mach3, go to your ports and pins dialog box (config menu -> ports and pins). Click on the spindle setup tab. In the Motor Control Section of the dialog, check the box for Use Spindle Motor Output and check the box for PWM control. Change the PWM Base Frequency to 50Hz.

Unfortunately not. As much as we like the Planet-CNC software and control, they made a change in their Planet-CNC software that eliminates support for our board.

  • Do you have a model of the Fabricator pro that can be inclined line the lean?

Yes, you can use Mach4 wtih the Fabricator Pro CNC machine.

We have not designed a metal machine like the Fabricator Pro to lean more in the vertical orientation. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten any requests for that style of machine, and the greenLean, although a great machine and space saver, has not been our best seller.

If we get more interest in this type of machine, we would have no problem designing a machine like this.

  • DO NEED TO SQUARE UP THE MACHINE AND IF SO YOU HAVE INSTRUCTIONS OR VIDEO FOR THIS?

The eyebolts are used in the squaring of the machine. I would use a standard carpenters square and first run the end mill along the edge of the square to first make it parallel with the long axis. Then run the end mill along the other edge with the short axis and adjust the eye bolts and chain according to the angle that the machine is out of square.
