CNC Routing Machine Kit Version 1.2  Expandable (modular) CNC kit with a 2'x4' routing area. This is the first ever modualr CNC machine. This CNC Router kit will have the ability to be expanded from 2'x4' to 4'x8' (Routable Area!) with the purchse of the expansion kit. Also available is a standard 2'x4' routable area CNC kit but with the new design. The router is not included and shipping will be based on the couriers price (I will ask for that later, or send it COD, whichever you prefer). The electronics and motion kit include stepper motors, driver electronics and power supply. The long lead screws for the x and y axes are better purchased locally and are not included in the kit (these components are very inexpensive and widely available locally).  These prices are still far less that what you would find on ebay, or other internet sites for similar routing areas, and in my opinion, the overall attention to detail and reinforced structure is also much more solid using this method of rails supported by intermediate structure. New features that you will see in this machine will be the dual rails on each side of the x-axis. That's a total of 16 points of contact ensuring very sturdy and steady movements. At the expandable measurements of which this machine will be capable, the dual rail and the reinforcements will serve well with a good safety factor (engineering mumbo jumbo for over doing the sturdiness). Other features include, expandability and configurability; shifting of the bit center to enhance the routing area; better method of securing the r ail; and the wonderful smell of freshly cut wood and lots of holes (have you seen so many holes?!?).
