What size of wire do you use to connect the VFD to the spindle?

The type of wire that should be used between the spindle and the VFD (Variable Frequency Driver also called the inverter) should be of stranded type and we use between 18 and 16 AWG. The total current is divided among the three coil wires, therefor a wire gauge of 16 should be sufficient. Currently we use 20AWG 4 conductor.
