trigger limit

Triggering a limit is achieved by installing a limit switch to an axis that travels in a linear motion. You can enable that linear axis to stop at either end by installing limit switches that trigger when the item that is moving on that linear axis reaches the end. Limit switches can be installed on the thing that moved on the linear axis and is triggered by a block of some sort, or the limit switches can be installed on the ends and the thing that is moving can hit the limit switch to engage the switch. The limit switch is typically connected to a GPIO (General Purpose Input/Output) pin of the computer (via the parallel port), or to an interface card that can receive inputs so the software can determine if the limit switch is engaged.
