My question is if I have the AVR Microcontroller advanced Kit can I just get the AVR beginner kit and use the all the parts form the AVR kit to follow the tutorials?

The AVR advanced kit should have all of the parts to complete the tutorials. You shouldn't need the beginners kit unless you need an extra microcontroller. When you say AVR advanced kit, did you mean the upgrade?
