How to Choose a Multimeter

The multimeter should be able to measure voltage, current, resistance and continuity. A couple of good options is to be able to measure capacitance and temperature. The accuracy of the multimeter should be at least +/- 2%. The multimeter should have a digital display and auto ranging functionality.
