Operational Amplifier (Op Amp) - Nearly all opamp circuits use "Negative Feedback"

Negative feedback keeps the input voltage approximately zero (0). In a circuit that has the non-inverting input to ground and there is a resistor from the voltage going into the inverting input, the output voltage will try to force the input voltages (inverting and non-inverting) to be zero.
