Starre Kupplungen halten das Spiel auf ein Minimum, da die Kupplung ein einziges Stück ist. Im Allgemeinen wird die Motorwelle mit einem Durchmesser von 1/4" in ein Ende eingeführt, und eine Welle oder eine Spindel mit einem Durchmesser von 1/4" wird in das andere Ende eingeführt. Die Schrauben, die die Wellen klemmen, werden fest angezogen, aber nicht zu fest. Diese Art von Klemmkupplungen beschädigt die Wellen nicht. Diese Kupplung wird als Klemmkupplung bezeichnet. Die Länge dieser starren Kupplung beträgt 1,129 Zoll (28,7 mm). Der Durchmesser beträgt 0,743 Zoll (18,87 mm). Das zum Anziehen der Kupplung benötigte Werkzeug ist ein Inbusschlüssel (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) der Größe 3/32 Zoll. Es gibt insgesamt vier Schrauben, zwei für jede Welle, die in diese Kupplung eingesetzt wird.
