Power Supply (36 Volts and 8.8 amps)
Power Supply (24 Volts and 10 amps)
Power Supply (48 Volts and 8.3 amps)

You will need a power supply to power stepper motors and drivers and these 36 volt and 24 volt power supplies will deliver what the drivers and motors need.

These are our 24 volt and 36 volt power supplies. The 24 volt has an allowable draw of 10 amps and the 36 volt has an allowable draws of 8.8 amps. Both can be switched between 110/220v power. Both have terminals for plugging into the mains and have common terminals. There are also positive voltage terminals. There are DC and AC inputs.

The first terminal marked L is for live. The second marked N is for neutral. The third is earth ground. Earth ground is necessary because the case is metallic. The 36v power supply has a cooling fan. The power supplies have M4 size screw holes for mounting.

Thumbnail: USB Controller wired to one driver and one stepper motor Wiring the CNC Motion Electronics with the USB Interface
Here is a tutorial on connecting drivers and stepping motors to the USB Interface for CNC machines. We offer the USB interface/controller for those that have a laptop, or don't have a parallel port on their computer, and who prefer to use the Planet-CNC software. Here I show a video on the entire process to get your USB Interface connected to the stepper drivers and stepper motors correctly and in a simple and trouble free way.
Step 23: Driver Part 4
This tutorial is dated, if you are considering a CNC for your personal use, we would highly recommend purchasing a kit that is very stable from our wide range of machines available. The driver is almost to a completion! We have installed all of the tiny components. Now to the big components. This is the logical process of putting together any circuit kit. The small components are difficult to insert if the larger components are installed already. Believe me, I've tried. Especially if there are jumper wires or resistors needed underneath chips and sockets.

So, what exactly is a 3 and 4 axis stepping motor driver board. Actually, I am presenting the 3 axis stepping motor driver board in this article, but there is another much smaller board that will connect to this one that will provide an additional driver, making it useful for those wonderful 3D projects that use an indexer.
