Just bought Build Your own CNC Machine book. It is missing the chapter on lead screws that is described on page 181 at the end of Chaprer 16. Where can I get this info?

The files and hardware option for our machines has been removed from the site due to the following reasons:
Difficulty for the end use of the files and the challenges (and time/money) on our side to assist in using these files.
The abuse of these files over the internet.
Ultimately may reduce the sales of machines keeping us in business.
Sadly, this is what has come out of our company attempting to be open; however, the machines sold on this site is still far lower in price than the competition for the quality that we provide as we have a great desire to engender the cottage industry to fulfill their need for low end manufacturing. My sincere apologies if this causes any inconvenience.

I was wondering if it is at possible to get a autocadd drawing of the pieces that need to be built for your cnc hardware kit

Yes, Mach3 (the software profram) will work with Windows 7, and windows 10 when coupled with the Mach3 USB interface. If you intend to use the parallel port driver, stick with Windows 7 in 32-bit mode.

Rnrmotion.dll is a dynamic link library which is very similar in function to an executable program, or app. Since a dll is executable, malicious code can be embedded in that type of file, so windows will automatically flag all files of this type. You just need to make sure you are downloading from a trusted source. The emotion.dll file on our site is clean, but still run run windows defender against it to make sure.

I intend to intall mach3 on Windows 10 OS. Will I need to install the USB Motion Driver RnRMotion.dll? I attempted to download this but it was blocked by Windows 10.

An unhandled exception generally means that, in the program code, the program is not checking against every possible exception that could occur. Most likely, this exception is caused by some limit that is being exceeded (or the other way around). I would remove any files that could be associated with the program, like setting files, or even register configurations associated with that software. Also, make sure that you completely update your version of windows.

Check to make sure all of the drivers are current for your graphics hardware. Make sure that your graphics hardware works in other programs as well.

If you upgraded the Windows version, check to make sure your graphics hardware is compatible with the new version of Windows. Unhandled exception issue may be associated with graphics hardware and compatibility.

I've given up on the wiped laptop and loaded the program on a different computer using windows 8. At first it won't operate my CNC until I read on Planet-CNC forum about loading the drivers on windows 8. All working now. Will run through the calibrations again today. Thanks

I had to wipe my computer due to virus and now can not download the USB software again. I get a "unhandled exception" error message. Any suggestions?

Although the strains may sometimes be the same as in the previous year's vaccine, you should NOT use the previous season's vaccine you might still have in your refrigerator. Influenza vaccine distributed in the northern hemisphere expires on June 30 after each season; expired vaccine should NEVER be administered. Secondly, antibody titers that persons might have achieved from the previous year's vaccination will have waned and need to be boosted with a dose of the current year's vaccine.

There are several reasons why this misconception persists: (1) Less than 1% of people who are vaccinated with the injectable vaccine develop flu-like symptoms, such as mild fever and muscle aches, after vaccination. These side effects are not the same as having influenza, but people confuse the symptoms. (2) Protective immunity doesn't develop until 1–2 weeks after vaccination. Some people who get vaccinated later in the season (December or later) may get influenza shortly afterward. These late vaccinees develop influenza because they were exposed to someone with the virus before they became immune. It is not the result of the vaccination. (3) To many people "the flu" is any illness with fever and cold symptoms. If they get any viral illness, they may blame it on the flu shot or think they got "the flu" despite being vaccinated. Influenza vaccine only protects against certain influenza viruses, not all viruses. (4) The influenza vaccine is not 100% effective, especially in older persons. SOME OF MY PATIENTS REFUSE INFLUENZA VACCINATION BECAUSE THEY INSIST "GOT THE FLU" AFTER RECEIVING INJECTABLE VACCINE IN PAST. WHAT CAN I TELL THEM?

If you are getting the message RNR Motion Card Not Found, the controller is shorting. Check the wiring to make sure you have all of the correct wires in the correct terminals. Check the voltages of all the terminals to make sure everything shows the correct polarity and voltages.

Mine did the same thing. Try pushing the USB cable all the way into the port and slightly up. My usb port on the card is slightly oversized and breaking the connection. Ordering some USB type B connectors off of amazon, gonna try and re-solder a new port on the card before replacing the card.

The largest CNC machine we make at this time (12/04/2015) is the GreenBull 6'x12' model. This model has 2 options for Z-axis travel.

The short-z option has a total Z travel of 5.75 inches. From that you would subtract the length of the end mill used and the thickness of the spoil board to determine the maximum material thickness. (Example: If the end mill extends 1.25" from the collet and the spoil board is .75", then the material could be up to 5.75 - 1.25 - 0.75 = 3.75 inches in thickness). This is good for most sheet-type materials.

The long-z option, used mainly for large 3D carvings, requires a custom frame and allows for up to 36" of travel.

The tolerance of our machines, like any machine, depends on several variables. The major variables include the manufacturing tolerance, the type of machine control used, the precision of assembly, the thoroughness of maintenance, and the initial and ongoing calibration of the machine. Because we sell kits only most of these variables are outside our control. Therefore, we are hesitant to guarantee a certain level of tolerance for an end user. However, in our experience, tolerances of .001" are readily achievable with our machines.

Yes, you can control the speed of the 2.2 kW spindle, and the other spindles we sell, through Mach3 software. It requires making some changes to the settings in Mach3 and in your inverter. It also requires an additional part, which is called a USB to Serial Converter, found on our site here:

I am looking at your 3 axis CNC machine kit(part #101) on Amazon. Is the interface on this kit USB?

Dealing with orders a few years ago, we did supply the g-code files for the machines that were purchased. However we do not supply any files to recreate our machines at the current moment nor do we plan on giving them in the future.

I have the build your own CNC kit 3 Axis CNC Machine 2008, were can I get the Gcode or vector files for it ? I wanted to have it laser cut

To allow a 4'x8' stock to be used by a blackTooth laser system, you will need to cut the large sheet with a standard woodworking tool such as a hand saw, circular saw, table saw, jig saw, etc. Alternatively, you can purchase our very affordable 4'x8' vertical laser systems that allows a 4'x8' sheet stock.
