I am interested in the GreenBull 4x8 CNC machine kit you have; I also wish to get the laser attachment but I was wondering if its possible to have the laser larger than a 40w, say in the 80-150w range?

The files and hardware option for our machines has been removed from the site due to the following reasons:
Difficulty for the end use of the files and the challenges (and time/money) on our side to assist in using these files.
The abuse of these files over the internet.
Ultimately may reduce the sales of machines keeping us in business.
Sadly, this is what has come out of our company attempting to be open; however, the machines sold on this site is still far lower in price than the competition for the quality that we provide as we have a great desire to engender the cottage industry to fulfill their need for low end manufacturing. I was wondering if it is at possible to get a autocadd drawing of the pieces that need to be built for your cnc hardware kit

The cutting area is 20" x 40" for the book machine. This area is determined by the 2'x4' sheets that make up the bed of the machine. You can increase this area if you use larger sheets and adjust the gantry width by the same difference of the width of the sheets.

You can also use the plans from Woodsmith magazine to build a larger machine.

I am building the 24" x 48" machine from the original book and i was wondering if anyone can provide me with the actual cutting area possible with that machine.

Dealing with our inverters, they are built with a bit of margin on the input power. For our 220V VFD the margin is from 170-250V 50/60Hz, so running our VFD in your location will not be an issue! Our electronics will not have a issue running at 230V as well.

The greenBull CNC machine kit can cut as thick as a material as you desire depending on the reach of the end mill that you provide the machine, if it is a straight vertical. The reason for this is that each pass is incremental (multiple passes at a certain depth per pass). For instance, if you need to cut a 2 inch thick piece of wood, you can make, say 3/4" passes until the target depth of 2 inches is met.

The depth per pass, feedrate and RPM will be determined by the material: wood, plastic, metal and will also be determined by the end mill that is used for that material. Selecting the appropriate end mill is very important. Feedrate and RPM is important to make sure the end mill is as cool as it can be during the cutting process.

The book CNC build has a restricted Z-Axis travel due to the design of the Z axis assembly. This machine is best used for sheet material. You can modify the bed of the machine so that there is a depressed area that thicker stock can be placed. The travel of the book CNC build is approximately 5 inches. Increasing the dimension of the gantry from rail to rail will allow a longer z-axis assembly increasing the z-axis travel.

All parts are shipped from the Tampa Florida area. The time it would take parts to ship to Ontario can vary depending on the size of the parcel and the time it takes customs to clear the shipment.
