WikiHouse, the Ultimate Example of CNC Use
Wikihouse example
If there was an example on how a CNC could be applied that I would be most excited about, it would be the WikiHouse. The WikiHouse effort is spearheaded by Alastair Parvin which talks about these efforts on TED "Architecture for everyone, by anyone".

-

In the TED video, he explains that this process starts with the CNC machine, the key to the fabrication of the WikiHouse! There is also a blackFoot CNC Machine shown in the video, in a setting most commonly known to our market, the garage! The WikiHouse is a combination of fabricated frame parts and fabricated panels to construct a house or domicile for basic living. The most exciting part of this endeavor is that the CNC machines such as the ones on this site can be applied to fabricate houses in countries where housing and living conditions are not well developed.
