Yes, you can preset an origin by zeroing the machine at the desired location before beginning your work. You can return to that exact point at any time, or you can specify an offset from that point to be the beginning point for the next machine operation (for instance when cutting several parts from one sheet of wood.) Jogging time varies by machine and application but would generally be a rapid move -- our default rapid setting is 400 inches per minute.

You can measure the tramming angle by putting a long L shaped rod that will fit into the spindle's collet and affix a piece that will tough the table to the other end of the rod. Rotate the rod to determine how far out you are. The longer the rod, the more accurate the measurement will be.

The Mach3 USB Interface Board is designed to handle an output current of 50mA. These outputs are generally not suitable for heavy loads like Spindle Governor Relays (SGRs)​​. Given that your SGR pulls 2.6 Amps, it exceeds the capacity of the Mach3 USB Interface Board's output. Therefore, directly switching the SGR using the Mach3 USB Interface Board is not advisable. Instead, using your existing C36 rev1.1 board as an intermediary would be the recommended approach. This board can handle higher currents and will act as a buffer, protecting the Mach3 USB Interface Board from being overwhelmed by the higher current demand of your SGR.

The 12VDC applied to the input voltage terminals most likely damaged the microcontroller, the LCD, and the vacuum sensor. It can be repaired, but the repair will cost more than a new vacuum pressure controller.

I am interested in buying the water cooled 2.2 KW spindle for $339, how much does it weigh?

When the z axis is going down, the laser turns on. When the z axis is going up, it turns off. The z axis directions is only a signal that is either 5v or 0v. That determines the direction. In vectric, you will need to set your machining operations with a very very small depth so the time it takes to get to its final depth is a very short time.

AM NOT SURE HOW TO SET THE Z AXIS TURN ON/OFF LASER WHEN CREATE CODE. KNOW THAT ITS TYPICALLY Z-AXIS MOVEMENT DOES THIS - BUT YOU DONT SHOW ANYTHING HOOKED UP IN PLACE OF AXIS.

To loosen and tighten the collet nut for the 2.2kW spindle, I use a 22mm wrench (spanner) for the shaft and a 30mm wrench for the nut.
